3. Pricing Methodology

How We Price Our Products

Our pricing is linked directly to commodity markets and transparent manufacturing costs. We believe buyers deserve to understand how prices are formed — not just what they are.

Material Cost (Commodity-Linked)

The base cost of every product starts with the raw material. We reference public commodity benchmarks from SunSirs (China's leading commodity data platform), Shanghai Futures Exchange, and international market indices. For each product, we identify:

  • The main raw material — kraft paper, LLDPE resin, cotton yarn, jute fiber, etc.
  • The closest public benchmark — a tradeable commodity price that tracks the actual input cost.
  • Material consumption per unit — calculated from GSM, dimensions, thickness, or known unit weights.

Material cost = unit weight (kg) × commodity price (USD/kg)

Converting Cost (Manufacturing)

Converting transforms raw material into the finished product. This includes:

  • Extrusion, cutting, die-cutting, slitting
  • Sewing, welding, lamination, coating
  • Printing, embroidery, branding
  • Assembly, QC inspection (AQL 2.5), packing

Converting cost varies by product complexity — from ~8% for ultra-simple plastic bags to ~58% for tailored uniform shirts.

Overhead & Margin

Covers factory overhead, energy, logistics coordination, certifications, and supplier margin. Typically 15-30% of FOB price.

Price Change Transparency

When commodity prices change, we communicate the impact clearly:

  • If LLDPE rises 10%, stretch film FOB adjusts by ~6.8% (68% material share × 10% increase)
  • If cotton yarn rises 15%, polo shirt FOB adjusts by ~6% (40% material share × 15% increase)
  • If kraft paper drops 5%, kraft bag FOB drops by ~2.5% (50% material share × 5% decrease)

This formula lets you anticipate price movements and plan procurement accordingly.
